"It's a really cool old building that has been updated to current standards and expectations. Everything was very clean. It was very expensive for parking, but it's downtown Chicago it's all pretty expensive. We didn't use the restaurants but there is a grab and go type place on the first floor that we used that was convenient. Just beware everything is 2-3 times higher price wise than in a store. "

"The staff were friendly. The bed sheets are weird not having a fitted sheet on them. The service/wifi connection sucks but doesn’t matter when you’re busy enjoying the city! Just weirded out about the sheets"

"I always love staying at the River Hotel when I’m in Chicago. It’s in the heart of the city, which makes it so easy to walk to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s become one of my go-to hotels whenever I visit Chicago."

"The walls were paper thin, and our neighbors partied in their room every night until about 1AM. we did call the front desk who called them and got them at least to turn off the music, but even their talking voices could be heard in the room. Its a beautiful hotel but I wasn't able to get much sleep so if you're in town for business I'd avoid this place"

"There are no domes when we went which attracted to this property. But otherwise very good cleanliness staff and help. We had our bath tub clogged but they gave us an hour extra for checkout.I do recommend this place if they really have the domes set up with heaters ."
