「I watch a lot of hotel programmes so I'm a bit od a critic. Room was very clean and fresh. Friendly welcome and goodbye. Breakfast was nice. Great view of the hills and a short walk into the village」

「The hotel is a beautiful building. Rooms are a reasonable size but the bathroom in particular was in need of updating and modernisation. The reception staff were polite but some restaurant staff need to be better trained! Sunday evening dinner we asked about what came with a fish dish we had chosen as it didn't appear to include potato or rice and were told it was just as shown on the menu. We ordered a side of potatoes at an additional charge of £5 only to find that this dish DID come with...

「Sehr schönes Zimmer, was wir zu dritt hatten. Sehr nettes Personal, tolles Lokal mit leckerem Essen, einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: das dritte Bett ist ein etwas unbequemes Schlafsofa. Insgesamt: tolle Unterkunft mit guter Ausgangslage, um Cornwall zu erkunden. Kann ich nur empfehlen!」

「Quiet and clean」

「It was as nice as our memory of our first stay, when the sun shines there is only one place to be - on the terrace. Having said that it is very comfortable to be inside. It is a very friendly place to be to enjoy Cornwall.」

「This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass. Our stay did not disappoint- the quirky corridors to our room, the spectacular views from the windows, the bright and airy restaurant and the opportunity (again) to observe a lone fisherman working on...

「This was not a hotel. It was a glorified airbandb. No staff...no bar or coffee shop. Disappointing...but it was clean and comgortable. I paid for a hotel though.」

「There are two Plume of Feathers in Cornwall. If you search for the one in Portscatho on Google this one is likely to show up and I made the mistake in booking it. When I contacted them once I had realised my error they said it was not up to them to refund but Expedia - who I contacted. They were helpful and sympathetic - but they said it was actually at the discretion of the host who they contacted on my behalf but they declined my request. I again contacted the PoF to ask them to reconsider...

「Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟」
