"The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Mount View Hotel and would highly recommend it.
The free parking for guests was a huge bonus and something we really appreciated. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, with a great selection and everything was delicious.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and efficient, always happy to help with a smile. The hotel's location is also excellent, making it easy to explore Penzance and the surrounding attractions.
We felt very comfortable throughout our stay with our family. The value for money is outstanding and hard to beat.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!"
"The site is nice, clean and well maintained. The food was excellent (as per my taste, but as you know... it is very subjective subject). The staff was friendly and kind. However, sorry for being picky, but the noise of a fan from a neighbor room did keep me awake for entire night. I was somehow disappointed by the advert where they were showing having bathtub in room, while actually I got just shower (yes, as you can guess, I am a big bathing person...sorry, nobody is perfect...)."
"We had a lovely holiday, fortunate with the weather.
We had meals in the restaurant, which were outstanding, excellent chef.
Unfortunately we had some issues with the lodge.
The outside bin was overflowing, so we couldn't empty our bubbish.
Outside by the entrance, the previous occupants were smokers, they left all there buts at the entrace which was very unpleasant.
I rang reception after day one, which the bin was emptied, unfortunately the butts remained. eventually the butts were remove after speaking to another member of staff.
I guess the person who cleaned the lodge had an off day?"
"Everything from start to finish was perfect
We were greeted by friendly and ready to help staff members at the reception, nothing was too much trouble for them. Then we had a lovely spa treatment which helped us relax after a busy week. The hotel design and feel is very beautiful, the food was super delicious, the best calamari we ever had. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It definitely left a memory in our hearts, all the staff members made us feel very welcome and cared for. Strongly recommend and we will definitely come back!"
"I really enjoyed my stay and found the decor most comfortable and pleasing. One observation I would like to make is that it occurred to me the dinner menu lacked inspiration. By this I felt that it could have benefited from including perhaps more imagination ie foreign dishes. I am aware that the Falmouth prides itself on good fulsome British food and succeeds in this but I would have appreciated more alternative."
"Super hotel, great location right on the beach for a pre-breakfast swim and a 5 minute walk into town. Helpful local staff was a pleasant change from other hotels."
"Overall it was a good hotel. The spa is quite pricey. The access to the beach or to the small town from the hotel requires a walk along a narrow uneven path with steep steps or you can walk along the roadside but there is only a pavement for about half of the journey so you end up walking in the road, which is narrow and has blind spots. As it is not fully accessible to everyone you would need to bare this in mind. You could drive to the beach & restaurants but from what are saw there is not a lot of parking. It would be nice if the hotel ran a shuttle service to the beach.
The hotel itself could do with some rejuvenation on the outside and having the windows cleaned on the inside and outside of the rooms would be a good idea.
The Wild Cafe is great for all meals and has a wider menu than the Ogo restaurant and provides better value for money. It would be great if they could create a section in The Wild Cafe that is adults only as listening to screaming children is in no way relaxing. The cocktail bar is nice and if you get a spot on the terrace in the evening you get great views. It would be better if there was a bar by the pool, even if only for peak season. This would save you having to go up and down steep steps.
The pools are good, the smaller one is heated. The sun loungers are not very comfortable as they are in just 1 position so you can’t lay comfortably and read.
I don’t think I would call this a four star hotel, definitely a solid 3 star."
"We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms, it was very well kept and comfortable, we were only there for one night, but would stay again.
One thing is lack of parking, need to pre book as there are limited spaces, but the train station is less than a 2 min walk away, so for us it wasn’t a problem as we parked there instead."
