「We loved our stay at the George. Jos and Lindsay are lovely and run a very nice business. We had two rooms, wife and I and Daughter and Partner. We arrived soaking wet after a walk on Mam Tor. 「We had a lovely stay at Ensana, Buxton Crescent. The room exceeded expectations & the Spa & swimming pool was perfect. The only criticism during our stay was the evening meal at the restaurant. We didn’t feel the food & service given matched the quality you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There are plenty of choices within walking distance of the hotel which we preferred. 」

「Good comfortable room, lots of tea, coffe, nice bar and lovely grounds. Probably would gave rated higher but noisy event on and was awakened by noisy people in the early hours (not hotels fault). 「I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.」
