"Our guests arrived after a 5 hour journey and they called the two contact numbers, one mobile was disconnected and the other rang out, the two email addresses also did not get any answers. The actual address is a new housing estate still closed off as a building site so we believe this property is a scam. If you look at the pictures there is no outside photos of the building and the two bathroom photos show different decoration and the toilet and sink are in different positions. Now we need to...

"We unfortunately had an issue with the cleanliness of the room,it was reported and even said, tomorrow would be fine as it was late Sunday evening and did not want to put anyone out, and guess what! nothing happened, we did not prompt again as that’s not us, we got on with it as didn’t want the negative to ruin our break. Apart from the person it was reported to and the cleaning person who prepared our room, everything else was very good, great staff, good breakfast, great atmosphere in the bar, spa was very good, infinity pool nice and hot, cocktails in the rain excellent. Would we return????? The price we paid puts it as maybe, unfortunately the room was disappointing, dark worn decor with a door key that had to be reset every day of our 3 day break was manageable , but there are no excuses for lack of cleanliness."

"This was a lovely property and a fantastic location to reach all the hikes locally. The breakfast was incredible and service was great. This property is well worth a visit. Local restaurants were also very good. My advice though is if you are staying during the warm weather to be prepared. There was only a small fan in the room and it was so hot it’s was unbearable. I appreciate it is an old property and doesn’t have air conditioning but I felt we should have been told that it was that hot in the room before we arrived, as we both felt quite ill and had very little sleep and to be honest with the hotter summers we are now having there should have been more preparation for this. I would suggest bigger fans or an air conditioning unit for the room. The small fridge in the room was also so hot and had broken down all the milk went off. We did nearly check out due to the heat so be aware of this. Apart from that it’s a fantastic property and great location. I would return but not if it was a very hot unless something changes."

"A comfy clean room and the Hotel is in a lovely town the drives there and back , The young guy behind the bar on the Monday night was great did check in served the bar and cooked great pizzas (Only pizza was on the menu as the kitchen was closed) but he did a great job (sorry should have got his name) the Tuesday night there was no food including Pizza which was a bit of a let down so I had to eat elsewhere."

"I stayed for one night here, and i wasn't disappointed . Very friendly staff, easy check in, accommodation was perfect with everything you need from tea & coffee making facilities to shower gel etc . Very comfortable bed with crisp white bedding. I suffer with a bad bad , and I found the bed really comfortable . I had an evening meal at the lamb inn . I chose the lamb Henry which was slow cooked lamb presented on a bed of mashed potato and a mint gravy and seasonal vegetables, followed by rhubarb crumble & custard. Absolutely amazing food that i highly recommend to anyone . The breakfast was a cooked breakfast which you chose the night before, also there was a choice of cereal yoghurt and fresh fruit. Overall, a lovely stay, I would highly recommend anyone to visit, I will definitely be going back. Thank you for a lovely stay."
