"Lovely one-night stay. The building was beautiful and peaceful, and we had a great night’s sleep. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast the following morning was excellent too. Would definitely stay again!"

"Stayed here for two nights. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. Perfect location for exploring the Peak District and lots of great hikes nearby. The Inn also serves great food and beer!"

"Amazing hosts - made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Gave us some great tips on walking routes too. Breakfast was faultless - high quality ingredients cooked and presented perfectly. Will definitely be back!"

"Would have been 5 stars all along but was told check out was 9.00am. Not even caravans boot you out at 9.00am. Would stay again if in the area as couldn’t fault the room, bathroom and cleanliness"

"Very attractive exterior with colourful hanging baskets and tubs - clearly well looked after. Food was extremely good, both dinner and breakfast offered a fantastic choice. My single ensuite was small but perfectly fine with an efficient shower, tea/coffee facilities and TV, although internet was prone to buffering. Would certainly go back again."

"A fantastic place to stay for a few nights. A great base to explore the Peak District with a good bus link to the area. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Food was much better than expected for pub food. Breakfast included was a perfect size and all local produce. We stayed for one night, got the bus into Castleton and back to see a concert in Devils Arse. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and would thoroughly recommend"
