Great location with easy access to surrounding towns and hikes with bus stop right outside. Good breakfast options to fuel up before heading out for the day. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Was an impromptu stay checking in and oit was easy, comffortable rooms and very clean. Very reasonable price for stay. Resturant was fab staff were very prompt and friendly and food was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Lovely vibe, staff are great and friendly, happy to chat with guests.
The gentleman who changed are room was very helpful as we requested to move to the other side of the hotel, away from the road (light sleepers) and they were happy to help. Would recommend to anyone, great place to stay and fantastic location for walking, cycling etc
Great hotel for a great price. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. Facilities are brilliant and the free cake each afternoon is a nice added extra. Staff are all lovely and happy to help with anything. Breakfast is very nice but be aware that there's no full English but you do get eggs, beans and bacon. Location is good and just a short drive from Derwent dam and Castleton. Would highly recommend this place and will be visiting again myself.
Friendly staff. Good location in Peak District. Restaurant had good selection.liked the coffee room. Not much choice of beers and they were expensive at £6.50
Delightful staff and modern facilities in a picturesque setting. The room was spacious and very comfortable with all the necessary equipment available.
Dinner at the restaurant was absolutely perfect and delicious.
Being surrounded by dogs is always great, too.

Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and dog friendly. However, road noise is a problem and the food is pretty poor (including breakfast).
We had a great stay at this bright, clean hotel, which is truly dog-friendly, our dogs were treated as guests too!
Staff were welcoming and attentive, we cant wait to go back!
Great place to stay, we were really impressed with the whole setup. Everything has been thought of for walkers, bikers and dogs. Good lock ups and wash areas, even for the dog! Good location with plenty of walks from the hotel. We had breakfast and evening meals in the hotel, all of which was tasty. Even has take away bags at breakfast. Room was really comfortable with a decent shower. Dog friendly throughout. We will definitely return.
We loved staying here. Perfect base for a cycling trip. Staff were very helpful and friendly and facilities were fantastic. Food at the restaurant was good too and everything was generally great. We are already planning coming back!
