"I stay in around 100 places each year for work and this was bad.
Poor quality fittings and fixtures vey well used. No soap, shower door didn’t close, toilet on some kind of strange plinth. Laminate falling to bits. No Freeview or terrestrial tv, streaming only but WiFi is so bad it doesn’t work at peak times 2 mattresses on bed bottom one very grubby
I think it’s a converted garage.
May suit someone with low standards I ended up leaving after 2 nights stayed last night elsewhere "

"Good value.
Building needs maintenance- we had to help other guests get into their rooms where doors were broken and door locks were sticking.
Location fab for Portswood and easy to find parking on a Saturday night ."

"We stayed one night at this lovely hotel, I think it has recently had a refurb, our room was lovely and the bar/restaurant was great too, will definitely stay again"
"First of all, its close to the train station and various busses which is a bonus. the price of the room was a bargain and provided what we needed just fine, a bed, tv, kettle, cups, shower? toilet and cupboards, so 5* for that.
we were on top floor which wasnt mentioned on the room directions on the ground floor, just said to room 21 but missed out 22.
there was no plug in the sink and no details for the free wifi so couldnt get internet.
the checkout time advertised was 11 and the door lock details sent later stated 10 which was not good. i didnt keave till 10.30 after the cleaner knocking the door at 10.10. i shouted i wasnt ready and wasnt leaving till 10.30. so bad service there. just a minor thing, when you flush the toilet, you then hear a loud whining sound in the pipes for a while and the water took a long time to drain in the shower.
i got no response at all from the property agent which i thought was bad so had to contact the agent who tried to contact the property but again, no luck.
overall, bad customer service but an overal nice room at a perfect location with a safe digital lock. having a tv was great."
"When we arrived, he wasn't sure if I had a booking. Waiting outside the property in the pouring rain for 40mins before I got in. When I called they didn't pick up and there was no in the property to assist. The password gave was the wrong one initially and then messaged the right one after waiting for over 40mins. The toilet seat is right by a radiator and could sit properly as the heater continuesly touch you and heat burns. When we entered we had to clean the toilets as they were let dirty. Sheets and towel were clean. We mistakenly took the main door keys into our room and had messages to we were ignoring them but instead we were fast a sleep and woken up at 11pm for the door key. I wouldn't stay there given a choice in the future. "
