"The property is exactly as advertised. It is a bargain for its location, just 3 blocks from 5th Avenue and from the beach in the very nice and modern Colonia Zazhil-Ha. There are some very nice outdoor spaces, a plunge pool, and the room is well appointed comfortable. There’s a Roku TV, a coffeemaker, refrigerator, hot plate, breakfast bar, AC, even a book shelf with books. when you’re in Playa, you probably won’t spend much time in your room, but it’s nice to have a comfy, affordable option...

"After booking with hotels.com, upon my arrival I was given a room in this shack of a place in a terrible area that I would not bring my family - the room smelled like feces and was nothing like the pictures. "The top pool was always under maintenance, the place conditions can improve 10x within very little budget, internet it is something you cannot count on it. I was working during my stay and it was a big disappointment and hustle for me. On the other hand, it's located in a great area, staff was willing to help but no actions were taken, I had problems with my aircon. Kept dripping water on my eye all night long. Over all it was a Ok experience."

"Family friendly, awesome staff !! First time we visited this resort was about 15 years ago, this year was our fourth visit, and the place is still amazing, just like the first time. My only recommendation will be for management to check the temperature of the pool, the whole family agreed was a bit too warm :)."

"We were three families in three rooms. We each had a penthouse room. We would all return to this resort. We had one problem and high spots: Problem: Family penthouse room had two A/C units that barely kept the room below 80F/27C. Staff couldn’t repair the A/C units so one family had to change rooms. High spots: 1) Hector at the El Templo restaurant is a good cook and entertainer. Worked hard to keep everyone engaged while he cooked up a tasty meal. 2) Fanny, Rafael and Kevin helped make our son’s birthday celebration exceptional and a very memorable event. 3) Jorge the bellman somehow remembered us and in which building we were staying. He is a hard worker, friendly and a friend. 4) The concierge team - they smoothed out some minor issues with our reservations and other issues. Made minor problems, non-problems. 5) Our room was kept clean, tidy and the minibar was stocked daily. Some helpful notes: 1) Be careful what you leave on the balconies. This is an eco resort and the monkeys are curious. Similarly, the coates (Mexican raccoons) will go through your belongings if you have food in them. 2) All the staff, from groundskeepers to housekeepers to wait staff were friendly and helpful. 3) In several areas, the buffet out shown the specialty restaurants. Skip the buffet lines for breakfast and go to La Toscana. 4) The evening shows are nice. Get there early for a good seat. The Friday evening street market is nice, too, with good street food."

"Five-Star Family Vacation Experience! Our family had the most amazing stay at this resort! The rooms were absolutely spotless, and the layout was perfect for traveling with kids. What We Loved: The Water Park & Pool: The kids' water park is incredible and kept them entertained for hours. The swim-up bar was a major highlight for the adults! The Food: The buffet offered excellent food with plenty of variety. Most of the reservation-only restaurants served outstanding meals (though we found the French restaurant to be just okay compared to how amazing the others were).The Entertainment: The nightly live shows and music were spectacular. They put on high-quality entertainment every single night that our whole family loved. Special Thanks to the Incredible Staff: The warm welcome we received from the staff truly made our trip unforgettable. We want to give a special shout-out to: Kids Club: Betty, Ale, Adri, Ruben, and Kinyi (the DJ)—thank you for keeping the kids so happy and engaged! Front Desk: Wilson, thank you for your wonderful assistance. Lobby: David and Samuel, thank you for always greeting us with a smile and a happy attitude.
