"We were welcomed at the property beautifully. There were drinks available, the check in was smooth and although our ocean view room had 2 giant palm trees blocking the view of the ocean (a little sneaky)— the room was spotless and clean.
Now, before I came I did write to them to ask for their help setting up some special things for my sisters birthday. I wrote twice and received no response.
Here is what was great:
1) one of the concierges (I wished I remembered her name- maybeMaya? ) was Amazing!! She set us up with a great whale watching tour, made a couple of calls for me, was super professional and delightful…
2) they had a nice bar pool
3) housekeeping staff are amazing. Our room was always cleaned flawlessly and they were super polite and kind.
Here is what wasn’t:
1) I asked the concierge to help me find a hairdresser to get my hair done. I asked him for prices and he gave me a range. I was very clear that I My sister and I went to the hairdresser to get our hair one. They did a fine job but the bill came and it was $800. The owner sneaked off and left her receptionist to manage telling us the news. Now shame on me- I should have confirmed pricing when I went in. But when I knew the top of the range- it was inside my budget (it was going to be at the most 250 each) —- when I went to complain at the concierge- he was totally useless. Didn't do anything to help, didnt offer anything to make up for it- and the manager never called me as I requested.
