We stayed 6 days here. We left with a strong feeling of disappointment and discomfort due to discrimination and inconsistency of service. We paid for top Altitude upgrade, not worth the price. Don’t stay here! Our butler was kind but clearly overbooked, resulting in inconsistent communication and lack of personalized service. Room service was unreliable (missing items, wrong food—sausages replaced with hotdogs), and room cleaning was inconsistent. The pool was heated, which was nice, but it did not appear to be cleaned daily. Service in the Altitude-only areas was uncomfortable. At the Sky Lounge (12/27 & 1/1) and the Grill, older staff (guy) ignored us while being noticeably attentive to other guests. As Asian guests, this felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. We were treated like this the entire time and noticed they treated other Asian families this way. We waited over 30 minutes at the Grill restaurant before having to ask the host to take our order with only a few tables occupied. The guy waiter ignored us the entire time. Restaurants and bars were severely understaffed, employees looked unhappy, and service quality suffered. Despite paying a premium, menus lacked premium options. The buffet had very limited choices. Food quality was disappointing - noticeably the Italian and Asian restaurants were not edible (cold food, hard noodles, watered-down curry). Worst AI ever! Don’t stay here!

It was a good stay with a clean place, nice staff especially the housekeeper at the buidling 2, Luisando. The pool bar service was also excellent. The fireplace are nice the beach couch was comfortable and the beach area is clean. Gabriel from the Concierge is very helpful and staff on the frontdesk, like Luis Martinez are also accommodating. We’ll definitely comeback.

Room was delivered late until 5 pm, phone in room wasn’t working so we use the mobile to ask for room service, new years after party was lame DJ really bad and drinks with cheap liquor. Food at restaurants wasn’t the best rib eye sticks prepared before and re heated so dry and hard. Buffets with no many options so overall experience wasn’t nearly expectation.

Our shower leaked so much onto the bathroom floor that I had to shower in the corner and be very careful. Even then had to have a towel soaking up the water. The two restaurants had terrible food. Ended up just eating at the buffet, which was maybe a 4/10. Fitness gym area had 40% of its cardio equipment not working. There was sweat and dirt all over the cardio equipment. Barely any umbrellas for shade. Couldn’t even sit around the pool without getting roasted from sun after 10 minutes. Only about eight lounge chairs on the beach which were taking up by people by 5:30 AM. Evening meals in the ballroom and the garden had music so constantly loud that we had to leave. It’s not a nightclub! It’s dinner time. Some light music would’ve been just fine.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Service in restaurants ranged from good to quite slow - waiting 30+ min for breakfast to be served, for example. Food at Mosqutio for breakfast and lunch was great. Dinner across the restaurants was a bit hit and miss. Pool bartender and dockside servers were great. Rooms were clean and in decent shape with the exception of a broken bed leg Deck chairs were tired and some were broken Rumor was that Hyatt has purchased the resort so investment in maintenance and repair has lagged. Beach is amazingly large and quiet. While it is a “non-swim able” beach we swam daily with no issues. All in all a great vacation.

One night stay as my 10 day resort check in is tomorrow at the Riu Santa Fe. Staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly. Room was marginally clean with only one bath towel left in the room upon arrival. Was told at check in by Linda I had been up graded to a room with a king bed (from two doubles). Upon arrival at the room it was a ground floor 2 double room. Not sure how that was an upgrade but access was convenient. Food and atmosphere was good. Would stay here again although probably not for a long stay.

This hotel is great value. The food is delicious and there’s a great selection. The staff are helpful for the most part. Our ocean view room had a beautiful view. The mattress was comfortable & room was quiet.

Very disappointed in the staff more than anything else. The rude little fat guy running the new years beach party is lucky my wife was there. Where I’m from talking to people like that gets your teeth knocked out. Sorry you don’t like your job you fat little bowling ball. The hotel buffet food was slop. Our room phone and TV didn’t work for 4 days despite asking the front desk repeatedly. Chasing down towels for our room everyday got really old too. Classifying this resort as 5 stars is a joke. A low 4 star at best. Don’t waste your money. There’s much better around the area

The staff was especially helpful and friendly. Brissa, Gabriel and Roberto at the concierge desks were awesome, as well as all the wait staff. Aquilas in transportation. All were kind and accommodating. They made our time very enjoyable.
