When we arrived, there was no stocked fridge, there was only two robes with three people staying in the room, when I went to get water from the bar, they told me I had to go buy it, we went to make dinner reservations and we couldn’t get dinner reservations till 930 at night. As well as we were told that most of the restaurants were fully booked when I sat by the pool in the morning there was a grinding happening for about three hours not very many people speak English very little service by the pool. No music by the pool room service was horrible. Nobody answered the phone. The Bellman took two hours to come and get our bag so we just brought them down ourselves. Everything from the beginning to the end was horrible at this resort we left early. They tried to stop us. I will never come back here.

There was a lot that didn’t go well. Some of the staff was great while some were not. The restaurant situation was the worst parr. The one place we wanted to eat was closed for the whole weekend. Opening the day after we left.

It was a really nice experience. I’ve been to plenty of resort and they had really good food except the Italian place. Wasn’t crazy about it. The Buffett and Mexican restaurant was amazing. I had the most wonderful and kind waiter, Carlos. He was very attentive and sang Happy Birthday to me. The resort was clean especially the pool. I didn’t like that it was open and not gated and also you can only reserve ONE restaurant your entire stay. Also, since i didn’t have them take my luggage they never told me where my room was. Overall, i had a wonderful experience. In addition to, you cannot swim in the ocean, It was very rough.

I did not have working lights or air conditioning until 8:30pm on the first day. The connecting door did not lock. Maintenance put two NAILS in it. This was completely unsafe. I was not offered a new room. I checked out two days early and the hotel refused a refund

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was great and staff was very friendly. The set up with the dinners in the separate restaurants was not clear. We were told there we got one choice for one night at one of the restaurants. We did enjoy the buffets and entertainment. We did not know we would be pushed to do the membership presentation but it was dropped after my wife adamantly said we were not interested.

Room was clean, very hard mattress with soft squishy pillows. Great staff, buffet not as good as previous visits when it was the Barcelo. Mexican and Italian restaurants were very good.

Christmas 2025 was a great day. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The room is always clean, but they need to improve the lighting in the bathrooms and the water pressure wasn’t that great. I would give the food at the lunch and dinner buffet at three star. It was just OK. Same with breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They’re awesome.
