Beautiful property, we stayed at the begin and the end of our trip. The renovated side is updated and TVs are newer along with the bathrooms, the older side has outdated TVs and the bathrooms are older. The property is beautiful and very walkable

Pocos servicios, muy básico para el tamaño de hotel. La playa no se puede utilizar por marea, cero ventaja de estar sobre el mar, pero si mas costoso. La habitación con mucho olor a humedad. El personal desatento y lo terrible de la experiencia fue que pidieron un deposito en la tarjeta por 5 mil pesos a garantia de que no me fuera sin pagar algo. Despotismo total para nacionales. No permiten acceso a ubers para recoger en lobby, tienes que caminar 500 metros fuera de la propiedad. En resumen terrible atención y mala relación costo beneficio.

Beautiful location, easy access to town, friendly and outgoing staff, delicious daily breakfast buffet. No USB ports in the room, no umbrella options for the beach lounges. Tons of umbrella pool seating options. Large gym facility overlooking a put-put golf course.

I will never go back to any Solmar resort nor to Cabos. First we were “upgraded” to some mold smelling room at the back side of the resort, at the street side. Unacceptable, so we went back. Our original room was in renovation, so we got for one night another room and had to move the next day to yet another room. A bad start. Those two rooms were nice and large. About 30% of the place is in renovation. Extremely strict smoking rules, not even a corner in the resort you could smoke. Not allowed to swim in the ocean, which is one thing. But the moment you’re on the beach, close the water, they already come running and screaming after you and treat you disrespectfully like you’re a child. Moreover, no potable water in room, no bottles, nothing. We could buy a bottle for $9 USD every day. The resort and Cabos altogether is abusively expensive and it doesn’t feel Mexican at all (no mariachi, hardly any Mexicans, for 90% American tourists), way too American. The location however is beautiful and breathtaking! But I’ll never go back there. Mexico has so many better places to enjoy.

No major complaints. It is a great location. Staff was very friendly. And the grounds were kept in good clean condition.. The rooms are nice other than the large whirlpool tub in the master bedroom sweet. Also seemed like the staircases were closed due to maintenance on the tile work, which could be annoying at times as the elevator was very slow.. overall I would highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful and pristine resort located on a quiet stretch of the ocean. What you experience everyday are boats lazily floating by doing some whale watching. The staff are AMAZING and some of the friendliest I have met at any resort. Shout out to LeyLani and Rodrigo of the entertainment staff! You will feel welcomed your entire stay. The twice weekly shows are definitely worth going. The emcee Roberto is hilarious.

I had a wonderful time! The resort and the rooms were clean, beds comfortable! Resort was spacious and near the peer and shopping. Pools on all levels. Staff was polite. Would definitely go again.

Fell down resort stairs that didn’t have handrails. This created a situation where I had to be medicated, back to the USA. I requested for resort to give me back credit for time not used. (Accident was day after first arrived). Through Expedia which was unsuccessful I’ve seen zero response or apologies from the resort themselves which is very disappointing. Expedia tried but resort did nothing for use. However staff personnel were very kind. Especially a doctor they have with the resort That’s fine

Great resort. The path to Marina was closed so had to walk around the long way to get there. Not pushy about time share. Food/drinks$$$ but it’s what you would expect from a resort. (we did not do all-inclusive because we knew we wanted to try lots of the local restaurants.) weak drinks for $16+ a pop, but amazing food. Room was spacious and clean-pools were beautiful, lots of fun activities to do.

I recently stayed at Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Instead of feeling like valued guests, we felt like we were inconveniencing them. Any questions or concerns we raised were met with dismissive attitudes and zero effort to help. The biggest issue started when we discovered that the heater in our room was not working. The room was cold and uncomfortable, and despite reporting the issue, nothing was done to resolve it in a timely manner. To make matters worse, there were plumbing problems and a terrible mold smell throughout the room. The room itself felt very old, outdated, and poorly maintained — definitely not what you would expect from a resort of this level. Because the heater was never properly fixed, we were forced to pay for a taxi ourselves and go to Walmart to purchase two portable heaters just to make the room livable. This was completely unacceptable and an unnecessary expense that should never fall on guests. Another frustrating aspect was the pools. While the hotel advertises itself as “family friendly,” most of the pools were designated adults-only. This made it very difficult to enjoy the amenities as a family and felt misleading. Overall, between the rude reception, unhelpful staff, broken heater, plumbing issues, mold smell, outdated room, and misleading pool access, this stay was incredibly disappointing.

Excellent room, supposed to be an older hotel but could not tell as our room was totally up to date, bathroom like a spa! Overall hotel in "as new" condition, staff quick to smile and help with anything you need. We added breakfast buffet to our package and found a decent variety ( omelette/waffle station etc.) Bottom line was the hotel exceeded our expectations. Two thumbs up for zero annoying vendors on beach. Two more for the staff!!
