It was okay, but unfortunately didn’t have the “wow” factor we were hoping for—especially as we were on our honeymoon. The service felt average and didn’t match the hype we’d seen online, particularly from influencers. It met the basic expectations, but overall, it fell short of what we anticipated.
One highlight was the thoughtful touch of welcome fruits and complimentary drinks, which we genuinely appreciated.
The infinity pool area was underwhelming, with limited seating options. When we approached staff about where we could sit, the response was abrupt and lacked the warmth you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. Many of the “premium” lagoon-style booths required extra payment, and the remaining options—mostly bean bags—felt like a cost-cutting choice that didn’t match the luxury branding.
Staff interactions overall were impersonal. It felt like guests were treated more like numbers than valued individuals. For a hotel that markets itself as five-star, the customer service lacked polish and care. There was no effort to make the stay feel special, which was especially disappointing given we were on our honeymoon. At best, I’d rate the service a 2-star for effort in attempting to deliver a customer experience.
If exceptional service is important to you, we’d recommend considering The Shilla just up the road from experience. Given the choice again, we wouldn’t choose Parnas.
The perfume used in the lobby was overwhelming strong and not subtle.
