Alpensia Ski Resort Tours

Alpensia Ski Resort featuring a park, a lake or waterhole and a bridge
Ski and snowboard in winter and wander through a giant garden of wild flowers in summer at this resort in the Pyeongchang region of South Korea.

Alpensia Ski Resort is described as a composite tourist complex. Come for its exceptional outdoor spaces, beautiful in all seasons. While you’re here, enjoy dining, shopping and cultural and artistic events. The resort is a lovely year-round vacation destination.

Winter offers skiing and snowboarding on six slopes, including one run nearly 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) long. Whether you are a beginner or experienced winter sports enthusiast, you will find enjoyable runs. If you’re an advanced snowboarder, practice on the snowpark area specifically designed for you to enhance your skills. The resort offers beginner to advanced lessons in skiing and boarding. Have fun with kids at the sledding area.

In spring, the lower part of the mountain fills with wild flowers. Breathe in delicate scents as you stroll through the 25 acres (100,000 square meters) of blossoms. Photographs taken in early morning light are particularly beautiful.

During summer, cool off with a shaved ice topped with red beans or berries. The community has golf, including a 45-hole course. Visit Alpensia Ocean 700 water park’s outdoor pools, sunbeds and splashpark. Indoor pools, megaslides and spa facilities are open throughout the year. Late summer features a music and arts festival.

In autumn, enjoy fresh air on brisk hikes past trees with colorful foliage. Throughout the year visit nearby attractions including Odaesan Mountain, Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm, Lee Hyo-Seok Culture Village and Herbnara Farm.

Choose from a range of accommodations, some at the base of chairlifts to the summit. Try numerous area restaurants serving Korean specialties, such as gondeurebap (steamed rice and herbs), as well as international favorites. For international visitors interested in gambling, Alpensia Casino has baccarat, black jack, craps, roulette and slot machines.

Purchase Alpensia Ski Resort tickets online. Find special deals relating to families, repeat purchases, night skiing and joint ski ticket and hotel stays. Ski season generally runs from November to March. The resort is about a 2.5-hour drive from Seoul’s Gimpo Airport or 3.5 hours from Incheon Airport. Alpensia is host to some 2018 Winter Olympics events.
