Super location and staff! Within walking distance of the beach and the Civic Auditorium! A unique setup where you can store food in a common refrigerator and have all the kitchen items to use when you want. We bought food at Gayle's and kept it later fir dinner. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Great friendly staff!

I stayed here a year ago and came back for another 3-day stay because I really liked it. The location in downtown Santa Cruz is unbeatable if you like to be close to both the waterfront and the shops and restaurants in the center. Both are minutes walking away. Our room (102) was spacious, clean, and we used the shared outdoor patio a lot to read or just sit outside with our dog. Having access to the coffee machine around the clock is super. Parking is conveniently on a nearby parking lot. Our only complaint was noise: we could hear our upper neighbor only too well, and they were running around and dropping heavy objects from 5am till late at night. We sent management a message and didn't hear back.

This was an amazing, albeit, brief stay. From check in to check out, the staff, location, amenities, vibe, room, courtyard, parking, were all great! Would absolutely stay here again!

Easy check in even though staff was off duty when I arrived, but Calvin emailed very clear instructions and was always quick to respond. Room was clean and comfortable- no frills but gas fireplace a plus. Only negative was that communal coffee/cappuccino machine was not working properly at 6:15 in the morning when I really needed a coffee so I had to wait until one around the corner opened! Great location
