Good stay

(Only accepts guests under 30 years old. Last check in time is 22:00.) First, we have to realise how much we paid for the bed; second, we all have to read hostel policies when we're booking from any online booking agency (even if it's so small and easily ignoring in the booking pages); third, it is San Francisco, USA, basically nothing is cheap here. I've been travelling to almost 100 countries, always staying at budget accommodations around the world, by this price in SAN FRANCISCO, USA, I think European Hostel is not too bad. For me, it deserves a five star review. Remember we paid not too much more than just tips for having a great meal at a good restaurant in USA. Great location, easily access by bus or BART from airport, Chase Center or other tourist attractions. Room and bed are simple, make sence as we got what we paid, at least they didn't have extra charge for bed sheet. Kitchen, toilets and showers are actually not too bad, everything works well, no towel and shampoo is normal in a budget hostel, shower water is hot and door is lockable, BUT, in a lowest price accommodation of a huge famous tourism city, you'll never know how worse that some guests can make everything into, it's not the fault of owner or anyone who works here. No smile is cool, I don't see too much warm smile in budget places of North America and Europe, I think smiles are not included in the bill, and we actually didn't pay extra tips. See more reviews in Google. Homeless is harmless, mostly.

Very bad experience, avoid it at all costs!!! The reception, aka the boss, always keeps shouting, screaming, treats his guests very rude. The ambience was bad, many homelessness, drug addicts, smell of nasty air. The staff family always occupy the kitchen and the rest room, they are, just like the boss, loudy and rude. Avoid it at all costs!!!

This hostel is overall fine. BUT the manager obviously forgot to return the deposit, and DID NOT attempt to give it back to me. One of the roomate snores like thunderstorm, the sound is even audible outside the door of the room.

Ok hostel

Location quite good, close to food, shopping and sightseeing. Room too small, no space for luggage. Toilet and shower mixed use, not enough during peak and no soap, not quite clean.

我觉得一般吧，还是有点不太干净的样子，但是人都很好。最不开心的就是明明说了打印不要钱最后被告知一张一刀，有点不太爽。我觉得我不太喜欢这个地方吧。

不是很好的住宿體驗

空間很狹窄，浴廁數量不足，清潔也做得很差，旅館附近很多遊民，環境很髒亂，唯一的優點是離地鐵很近

Good and friendly staff

It locates at good with walking distance to Metro and BART. With this low cost, you can have clean bed and toilet. But not to expect the other guests are also courtesy. The ambiance was not good and need to stay alert because there were many homeless people but no immediate danger to tourist. Just stay in early at night and look out is fine.

Staff are helpful

The hotel is nearby art museum and city hall but a little far away from downtown.Around 5mins-walk to CVS pharmacy ,subway and Burger King. However,the bathroom is too small and the lighting are too dark.

太糟了,浴室時常沒熱水,水也很小,附近治安不太好,以這價錢來說太不值得了,不可能再去第二次 terrible experience. Please don't live in. It's dangerous.

Poor experience staying in this hostel

Like previous guests' opinions, this place is awful. There was no air conditioning in the room and the air was full of strange body odor including the smell of sweat after heavy exercise. I could not sleep well because of lacking fresh air. The bunk bed frame was so shaky which made you worry if it would collapse when you climbed up to your upper bed. The bathrooms were not so clean and too few. The WiFi access in the not-so-wide dining area was unstable and the power plugs were too few. There are only a few advantages: First, it is closed to Mission St. and Civic Center, so access to public transportation is very convenient. Second, the price is the lowest one can get for a hostel compared to hostels like HI. Yet my staying at HI on another day was a pleasure.

Staff is great, but the rests are...

The only good thing was the staff promptly helped me to solve my all issues, which I appreciated a lot. Yet, don't put too high expctation to its facility, environment and neighborhood considering its price.

交通方便,走路到地鐵及公車站約5~7分鐘. 雙人客房內是一張大床+桌子,衛浴間不大且為共用,所以會有等待的時間.房間都是木頭門,隔音設備不太好.大家進進出出開關門的聲音都會聽的很清楚.公共空間的餐廳看起來不錯.大家會在那用餐聊天.整體上,算是經濟的選擇.

Manager was extremely rude, when I went to check out and give the key back he physically blocked me and started yelling at me and told me I had to wait for him to review security footage to make sure I had not taken a pair of his disgusting sheets, which I pointed at were on the floor in front of him. The disgusting hotel is only rivaled by the rudeness of the manager.
