Location was shady but inside the building was nice. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room was extremely spacious, although it didn't have many amenities for a longer stay, but since we only stayed the night, it was a really good hotel for the price.

Clean is room, staff is helpful, covered free parking is a huge plus, and price is good, 20 mins walk to Japantown. The area is a bit run down with unhoused people sitting/hanging around on the side of the hotel talking very loud

The hotel was what you get for the price. The building is in downtown surrounded by homeless and I wouldn’t recommend walking at night. The garage entrance is open and anyone can come in and out. However, the staff were nice and the rooms were of decent size. We only stayed for one night and wanted to be close to everything, it worked out perfectly for us.

It was decent but I would never stay again. The parking is included but it's pretty open and it has bars that separates it from the sidewalk where about 12 homeless people were at the whole night. "Don't judge a book by its cover"—that’s how I’d describe the hotel. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy, sure, but it is San Francisco, after all. The room was nice and clean. My only issue was that I arrived very early, and the hotel doesn't have a room to store luggage while waiting for check-in; the guy working there wasn't very helpful regarding the bags, either. I'm not sure if I'd stay there again.

Het hotel is wat gedateerd maar wel schoon. Alleen de buurt waar het staat is een erg slechte omgeving. Veel zwervers en drugsgebruikers liggen op het trottoir en we zijn in de avond daar geen rondje gaan lopen. Als je een taxi pakt 3 km verderop is het een wereld van verschil en de stad leeft daar op een andere manier

I only stayed for two days, but the experience was disappointing. I arrived at 2:30 PM, just 30 minutes before the 3:00 PM check-in time, and had to wait standing because the reception area had no chairs. The room was never cleaned or organized during my stay. Used towels were not exchanged, but after informing the front desk, I was simply given new towels and had to carry them myself to the third floor. The Wi‑Fi was very slow, frequently disconnected, and unreliable. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

From the outside looking in, I am surprised I stayed here. I was sketched out with the homeless people and graffiti on the windows, however, you must have a room key to use the elevator which felt like a safety net. Once we got to the room, it wasn’t as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. The bed was hard as rock to sleep on but everything else was just fine for our short stay. It was not luxurious but I didn’t expect it to be. I would say if any improvement can be made, it would be to get better mattresses or a pillow top.

Okay the outside looks suspicious and “dirty” BUT BUT before you judge the exterior and the environment, do take into consideration that it is San Francisco. The hotel is extremely safe and they put endured safety. Parking garage, elevator (room key needed) to access rooms, rooms are clean, bars walking distance. 10/10 would book again! Also Pete and his dog are so sweet.

Our room was spacious and clean. My husband and 3 kids stayed. The beds were huge, a bit tough hut but not bad. The hallway had a weird smell but when we got inside the room, you couldn’t smell it anymore, it’s probably because the building is old. Free parking is a bonus. Overall, its a great place to stay for the low price considering it’s in downtown, close to Chinatown. My kids loved it. We would stay again.
