"This was our second stay at the Aurora Inn and Cottages and it felt like being home again. This time we spent three nights in the Bemis cottage. Cottage is a misnomer. This cottage came well appointed, beautifully decorated, with a bed that I call my sleeping pill it was so comfortable. These innkeepers see to your every need. Nothing generic here, from name brand Green Mountain coffee, bottled water, high end bath products your every need is thought of. Even your electronics are provided for with two multi charging ports for devices, The communication from the hotel from start to checkout was meant to dispel any second guessing. We loved the self check-in and the security of the locks. Kimberly and Jed who represent the property never stopped working around the property cleaning, organizing and seeing to our comfort. They are absolute treasures and have become friends. The pool is toasty warm and pristine. We will definitely be back again."

"Upon arrival the rooms smelled stale and the refrigerator made a very loud sound. I wanted to shower after a long drive from NYC and there was no hot water. I called down to reception and the concierge said “oh, sorry! I forgot to tell you there won’t be hot water”. He couldn’t even tell me when it would be back on. The queen size beds are actually full size but they are comfy so there’s that. Lastly, I came back from a hike to get ready for a wedding and there was no power. I had to get ready in the dark! There is no generator so I couldn’t charge my phone, do my hair, or steam my clothes. I was only able to do my makeup because of the sunlight. They had no solution besides having me use a pool bathroom at another hotel. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had."

"Breakfast was fine. Our bathtub had a big area of dried soggy soap residue on the ledge. So I imagine the tub wasn’t cleaned. Never saw the pool. The stairs to the second level in our room was VERY steep. The bed setup was great otherwise to sleep 6. Check out was 10am and our child had a competition until 11am so that was very inconvenient. $75 per hour for late check out. No thanks. I don’t know why they have such an early checkout. We were going to have lunch at their restaurant before heading home but we had to leave at 10am and the restaurant didn’t open until 11am. Oh well. Overall the place was fine but I don’t know if I’d stay there again."
