"Great for the price in the middle of summer! Good location for exploring, close to everything - 5-10min to anything you needed. Families should know that the pool (indoors) is small and gets very noisy/splashy with other families in it - which is totally okay if that's what you're expecting! Easy to request a crib for an infant, which was nice. it was all set up with sheets when I arrived. The rooms also had mini-fridges, a microwave, and a keurig coffee maker. Everything worked as it should and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good for a typical american buffet, and the staff were all very kind and helpful. Would recommend this place."

"The room was as advertised and comfortable. The lighting in the stairwell in the evenings was dim, several bulbs were out. Also the road leading to our condo was quite rough, large uneven sections of the paved road made for a bumpy drive."

"This historic hotel should compare to resorts such as the Greenbrier, the Homestead, the Broadmoor in customer service. My only complaint in that regard was the lack of staff upon initial arrival at the front door. I am used to never being allowed to touch my luggage until a porter has delivered it to my room. I'm used to not having to open my own car door when I arrive. I'm used to a doorman when I enter the lobby. None of that happened here and I think it should. That being said, I loved the hotel and I'm sure we'll stay again. I loved the history, including the haunted history. I loved cocktails on the sweeping veranda overlooking Mount Washington. Our room was small by today's standards but superb in every other way. The complimentary shuttle service to "off campus" resort properties and amenities was great. I believe this hotel will be on my calendar next summer!"

"The property is very pet friendly and the staff was all great! The pools and playground were all kept well and breakfast was great! Our room was well kept with the exception of the outlets that needed to be replaced but that was our only concern with the room."
