"This was our second stay at Mitre House. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kettle and coffee sachets and milk pods were useful. The front office staff (Mohammed and others) were friendly, The English breakfast was decent and filling. Proximity to Paddington Station was a big advantage. This hotel has a lift (elevator), a major convenience in London. Our adult son who has autism felt welcome at this hotel."

"I found the room adequate for what our needs were, but a bit underwhelming... I didn't realize Europe as a whole doesn't have air conditioning, and we happened to visit at an unusually warm week, so we had two fans constantly running. The room was clean however, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The bathroom is crazy small though, and I was not expecting that, but again, definitely a Europe thing. They provided a tea kettle for making tea or coffee in the room, and you can't beat the location. Very close to many beautiful restaurants and cafes as well as transport at Paddington station and a mall with lots of great food (p.s. the elevator in the mall had a fantastic view of the sunset). We didn't order breakfast there so I can't speak to that although it did smell great in the mornings and the kitchen staff was very kind to let us borrow some cutlery. There was free water at a drinking fountain inside the lobby which we utilized a lot when filling up our water bottles for the day. The staff was pretty helpful, although I didn't get the most welcoming vibes from them (maybe also a Europe thing..) One of the worst downsides is how loud housekeeping was in the mornings. The walls are pretty thin. For the price around this area, this really was a nice hotel and if you are touring a lot of the city like we did, you really only need a place to sleep! I would recommend overall! Happy travels!"

"During a 12-day rail trip around England, this was one of eight stops along the way. I prioritized locations within short walks from a train station throughout the trip, and this property fit that plan. I chose this particular property because I've stayed at it before, and its proximity to Paddington Station makes it very easy to get to from England Rail Stations, and to the airport via the Elizabeth Line. The room is on the small side, but very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, excellent value. NOTE: You will feel Tube traffic passing underneath the property at regular intervals. Although it never interrupted our sleep, it should be something to be aware of if you're sensitive to outside disturbances at night."

"Tub/shower very difficult to get in and out of and water goes everywhere- all over the floor. No tissues in room. Other than that there were nice features with lighting and I enjoyed the location. I booked a room with a mini fridge and that worked great. It was overall a very quiet stay and I would recommend it. "

"Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the minute we walked through the door, all the staff were so welcoming, professional and helpful. They looked after our bags as we arrived before check-in time. Rooms were clean, spacious, helpful number of plugs. Breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect. Only downside is that noise is carried from areas in the hotel and outside but would still definitely stay there again. Thank you for super stay."

"Everything was great overall, but the room wasn’t ready at check-in—even though I had completed the pre-check-in form. We booked a room with one bed and one sofa bed, but since it wasn’t prepared, we had to request the sofa bed to be set up along with the bedding. We ended up waiting at least 50 minutes to receive pillows and linens. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would return or recommend it to others."
