Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay, HI

8/10 Good

"Had been a bit nervous after reading some poor reviews but needn’t have worried. The ocean view room was worth the extra to wake up to an amazing view (shame no lanai though). Room big enough for four (two adults and two teenage girls). Room decor a little dated but hey that Kaua’i for you and to be honest part of its charm. Did the ukulele lesson, lei making and hula dancing lesson as part of the resort fee ($25 a day) all worth it and the people doing it were excellent. (My daughters made fiends with the daughter of the lei making lady and they had a little sister for a few days!) Parking fee at $25 a day but found this was rather reasonable compared to the $60 at the next hotel in Waikiki! Overall a pleasant stay and a great hotel at a great location for Lydgate beach and central for travelling round the rest of the island."

"This was a dream vacation. My husband and I enjoyed staying in the villas and having access to the amenities of the entire resort. It was so peaceful, clean, and absolutely gorgeous. The cultural classes that the resort offered were amazing. We took a basket weaving and lei making class. The resort is located perfectly on the island and in my opinion was the best place to be. We will be going back every year and will even bring our kids next time. The staff were all amazing and the grounds were immaculate. We loved our stay here. Mahalo, Sheraton!!!!"
