Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. Not needing to drive for meals or snacks was extremely convenient. The hotel’s restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, is also delicious and worth trying. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was spotting a monk seal resting right on the beach in front of the hotel—such a special and unexpected experience. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak, and the public microwave in the lobby wasn’t very easy to find. Overall, this hotel is a great option for families. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time here, and we would happily stay again on our next trip to Kauai.

El personal es deplorable, son super groseros, cero amables. La habitacion no esta mal, pero no sale agua caliente despues de 20 minutos dejando el agua correr y el aire acondicionado esta en una muy mala posición que te enferma desde la primera noche. Todo el tiempo huele los pasillos a Marihuana. El restaurante es lo peor, el gerente nos solicitó consumir alimentos o que nos retiraramos, nos quejamos del servicio y su respuesta fue "si no te gusta, que hacen aquí?" No pierdas tu tiempo, mejor ve a otro lugar.

Our trip started with very bored front desk personnel. The hotel grade is 3 1/2 stars which was really misleading for us. The grading and the customer ratings, at the time I booked the hotel, made me feel good about booking this hotel. However, the hotel is a motel that is worn out with small rooms. We choose to pay a bit more for a pool view room to avoid a parking lot facing. We got a room that faced the wall of one of the buildings. Even though they eventually offer to move us, they made this comment that really upset me and set the tone of the stay: "the room qualifies as a pool view." That's where I knew I made a mistake. Don't get foul by the reviews. The property location is 4 out 5. The restaurant is 3 and also worn out with mediocre food. Very high traffic property and maybe that is where the attitude is coming from. I don't recommend this place if you can afford to pay 20% more. In vicinity are much nicer hotels. I just made a mistake based on the reviews and the hotel grading. Regards, Adina

Room was spiffy and well-appointed for our every need. 1st floor lanai with garden view was striking with natural beauty all around enveloping our senses! Only 150 paces from the soft sand and rolling waves of the Pacific. Doesn’t get any better.

Staff was friendly and great. Beds were hard as a rock, even after they added a mattress topper. Water wouldn't get warm first thing in the morning to take a shower. Door to the room doesn't shut on it's own, have to pull it tight s it sounds like you're slamming it every time. Very pricey on the menu for the restaurant.

We loved this hotel. It's such a gem and not your typical corporate hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacey enough for 4 people. I really appreciated the little details offered by the hotel, like luggage storage under the bed, umbrellas for the rain, a personalized Christmas ornament for the holidays, yoga classes and so much more. The weather wasn't great so I can't say much about the beach area, but we would 100% stay here again.

Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, easy check in. Parking is great!!! We love the area, beach front, quiet, homey, coconut market is just a stone away, shopping and food choices! Great location if you wanna explore the north and east side of kauai.

Our room was clean. The staff were friendly. We couldn’t determine from the information available on Expedia what sort of view we would have from our room. So we were overlooking the parking lot. It would have been nice to know that in advance, but that’s a criticism of Expedia, not the hotel.

Never even staying here and they will not refund me. I did a same day reservations got there paid for ocean view king room. Was given a king with a partial view of you stood in one corner of the room. Asked to be moved. Wow is all I can say got moved further away to a room with screaming kids that couldn't be blocked out with the paper thin walls. Just told them we would like a refund and would look elsewhere. To not get a dime back from this place. I am just flabbergasted how this hotel gets away with charging someone for two night when they never even sated for 5 minutes. Now let's get to the parking situation. Wasn't one single parking spot with 5 other cars trying to also find a place to park. What a joke for a hotel. This is the worse experience I have ever had with any hotel I have ever stayed at.
