Room was very small. Property had a dozen or more feral cats (essentially vermin) wandering around. Breakfast was minimal (some hard boiled eggs would helped an otherwise lack of protein) and the chickens (who were everywhere!) were very aggressive about stealing the food from your plates. It's hard to keep the property looking clean with that much animal defecation produced on an hourly basis.

Die Klimaanlagen sind so laut, dass selbst, wenn die eigene nachts abgeschaltet ist, die Anlagen der benachbarten Zimmer eine unheimliche laute Geräuschkulisse erzeugen. Und falls diese einen nicht stören, dann vielleicht die unzähligen freilaufenden Hähne auf Kauai. Die sind echt eine Plage und krähen ab 3 Uhr in der früh bis abends 21 Uhr ohne unterlass. Das hat nichts mit der Bauernhofromantik zu tun an die man dabei denkt. Frühstück wird draußen angeboten (Regen & Sonne). Dabei läuft das Personal der Versorgung der Gäste nur hinterher. Ständig ist etwas alle und durch den wenigen Platz steht man ständig an. Außerdem darf man sein Essen nicht unbeobachtet lassen, weil die Hühner sofort überall auf die Tisch springen. Das Hotel hätte so viel Potenzial (Lage, Pool, Abendprogramm, Beach Towels & Stühle kostenfrei ausleihbar) aber es wird nichts daraus gemacht. Schade! Die Sauberkeit war nur mittelmäßig und es gab überhaupt keine Haken an der Wand um etwas aufzuhängen noch Ablagemöglichkeiten oder einen Sessel/Stuhl. Eine separate Kofferablage war der Rezeption völlig unbekannt und nicht bereitstellbar auf Nachfrage. Somit lag ein Koffer vorm TV auf dem Schrank und den zweiten haben wir aufs Bügelbrett gelegt. Auf den Fußboden will man sein Zeug nicht legen. Zumal auch schon Kakerlaken in anderen Bewertungen gesichtet wurden. Wir können das Hotel leider überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen. Wer ruhig schlafen und essen will, muss sich dringend eine andere Unterkunft suchen.

Pros: The hotel is ideally located, offering easy access to both sides of the island and making it a great base for exploring. The stunning mountain views, continental breakfast, and the variety of friendly animals on the property add a special touch to the experience. We also appreciated the complimentary beach gear, which made our outings much more convenient. A special shout-out to the staff—especially Kylie and Elton—who were exceptionally kind and did their best to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Cons: While the overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few downsides. The bed sheets were not changed daily. The bathroom could use some improvement—we experienced issues with a difficult-to-use faucet, a rusty and unpleasant-smelling shower drain, and inconsistent water temperature that would suddenly shift from hot to cold during showers. Unfortunately, we also found a cockroach upon arrival and another one in the pool.

This Inn was perfect for us. We were gone most days, and they supplied beach chairs, towels and snorkel gear for us to take with. Breakfast was fresh and good. Rooms were older, but clean and spacious. Pool was small and only 3’ deep, so for older kids maybe not so fun, but for us to sunbathe and cool off it was perfect. We loved the location and area in Lahui.

The room left more to be desired. It was old and felt unclean. The photos on the web showed a much different room than what we got. The staffer Elton was very good, he was sharp, informative and got us checked in quickly. The continental breakfast was fine. Bagels, Yogurt and Keurif coffee.

The room did not look like the photos on Expedia and it was very old. The bed creaked so much and the roosters and cats outside were very loud. The walls are super thin. The cleaning staff also didn’t fill up our shower stuff before we got there so it was empty and we kept having to ask every day to get more shampoo, etc because the next day they took away our new bottles when cleaning. It’s also not close to the airport anymore because of a road closure so you have to go in a windy road that has no lights in the dark.

It is a fantastic place to stay not only do you get breakfast but the people are so nice the place is clean it's just a beautiful environment really enjoyed staying there and would go back anytime. Also loved the vibe and night music and atmosphere.

Cool, old school Hawaiian property, off the beaten path...chickens and peacocks wake you early...they don't sell alcohol...great staff and owner....free breakfast...They also have beach chairs, snorkel gear and beach towels to use....great value for the money

Philip was very helpful with tips and other info at check-in. All staff friendly, courteous and generous. Breakfast was plentiful, with fresh fruit, good coffee and pastry selection. Pool policy excellent, although didn't have time to use it. Lots of chickens, cats and even a peacock on grounds made it interesting. A bit farther from airport than expected, but not an issue. Would stay again!

The staff made this experience for my daughter and I. They were very helpful when we needed them or just to give advice on what to do. Even though the hotel is older their hospitality was beyond 5/5 stars. I highly recommend this hotel! They had complimentary breakfast every morning, coffee 24/7, music almost every night, a movie night and you can easily rent things like towels and chairs.
