"We booked a room called Junior Suite Standard. In pictures showed 2 beds or bed and a foldable sofa bed. We assumed that we can choose. When we arrived for our stay at the check in staff said we can only get the one with foldable sofa bed. After we arrived in our room foldable sofa was rusted, none functional. No sheets were given for it either. I tried to set it up and it was broken. We managed to get by during our stay. Was a bit disappointed since we specified it’s for 2 adults and 2 kids. Over all we loved our stay and enjoyed everything els. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Food was amazing. Drinks were great. To be honest i would give it 5 star if the bed wasn’t broken. "

"The resort was well maintaned and the staff were really nice. The kids activities were aimed more for 7 and under and the games room had a minimum age requirement of 11 years old. It would be nice to see more geared toward preteens. The scheduled pool and beach avtivities could be better planned by having volleyballs, beach balls, etc available all day for ppl to play. A mic to get more ppl involved for the activities would help. I really enjoyed the aqua aerobics and beach volleyball when enough people were there to play."

"Very disappointing beach experience. The beach was completely covered with massive piles of seaweed, making it unusable, and the smell was unbearable. Most people travel to the Caribbean for the beach, so this was a huge letdown. The hotel should have notified guests in advance about these conditions so travelers could plan accordingly."

"The property is ideal if you want city and beach life. The rooftop pool was great with views you cannot get from ground pools! We were upgraded to a Master Suite which was spacious and clean. We had an issue with the AC in the last couple days but were told it was because you could not set the thermostat lower than a specific degree which was not the case or problem. We had friends in another room that had to use extra blankets because it was so cold. However, we did not press the issue too hard with the staff so more on us than them. Bar staff and servers in all locations were attentive and personable. Food selection was great - smaller facility means more taste and quality when not mass produced. We also chose the Elite option and visited the other 2 sister resorts a few times. Playacar had a great beach and Coco Beach was smaller but also very nice. The shuttle service was a bit confusing (need to be on a list?) and can get full so make sure you check before going. All in all a wonderful stay and we will be back!"
