Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, Autograph Collection
8/10 Good
"We had a wonderful stay at Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach. The location is unbeatable, with beautiful ocean views and direct access to the beach. The resort's design is absolutely stunning—it has a sophisticated Restoration Hardware-inspired coastal aesthetic that feels like walking through a beautifully curated showroom. Every space is thoughtfully designed, creating a luxurious yet relaxing atmosphere.
The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. One thing to keep in mind is that if you book a room with a view overlooking the pool and outdoor lounge, it can be quite lively in the evenings. We were dealing with jet lag and were hoping to get to sleep around 7:00 p.m., but the outdoor gathering area remained active until about 11:00 p.m. Guests looking for a quieter stay may want to request a room away from the pool and lounge.
One suggestion that could make the guest experience even better would be to send a pre-arrival email about a week before check-in highlighting all of the complimentary amenities and activities available. We only discovered at checkout that guests could borrow bikes, fishing rods, participate in stargazing, and enjoy other experiences. We would have loved to go fishing during our stay if we had known beforehand.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again. The resort is beautiful, and with a little more communication about its amenities—and perhaps a heads-up about which rooms overlook the evening entertainment—it"
"My Husband and I went here for our 16th anniversary. Beautiful grounds, nice pool area, comfortable beds and a great daily breakfast. The breakfast food never ran out as staff where constantly checking to make sure there was plenty of food available till the end. We are definitely coming back to The Inn at the Cove! Loved it!!"
"Think property could use resort style games for families such as oversized Jenga, checkers and maybe ping pong tables. Only one pool and hot tub doesn’t fit the status for offering rooms that can hold up to 6 people. Families need more activities. The happy hour social time is a great addition.
Our floor had stuff stuck to carpet in room by trash can. Thinking about room allowing pets but only have carpet is a let down.
Great serve breakfast but family thought wasn’t cooked well Like it was in the past. Was good got sleeping but could use more blankets for the pull out couch."
"Pacific Point Resort is the result of two properties (Pismo Lighthouse Suites and Shore Cliff Hotel) merging into a large resort. This is excellent because a single venue will now offer a full spectrum of room types.
There will be no missing the ocean on this property. Even guests without oceanview or oceanfront rooms can fully enjoy the Pacific air and views from the numerous outdoor guest areas (pools, hot tubs, fire pits, connecting walkways, etc.). Two popular premium eateries are within walking distance.
Notes:
1. As of this writing (July 7, 2026), there is considerable (and understandable) amount of post-merger renovation and construction in progress. The presence of construction zones and vehicles can create occasional parking challenges on holiday weekends. But the staff are super accommodating
2. Currently, room rates include a modest, though somewhat crowded, breakfast buffet. It is my understanding that when their onsite cafe is fully operational, this perk will go away. I do hope they will introduce an add-on per diem breakfast package option to their rates, when that happens."
"Hotel was beautiful and staff was helpful. There is no hot tub, just a small pool. The breakfast was not free and way overpriced for what they had to offer."
