"There is a mosque near by with loudspeakers. The rooms are fairly soundproof between rooms, but the doors can be heard opening & closing at all hours as the 20-30 yr olds mingle. Bright stylish rooms but the old wood around the communal kitchen sink lets one know that maintenance isn’t a priority. The pool is in front and smaller than pictured. "The staff was friendly and observant. The front desk called to check if we needed room service. Without us saying anything, the concierge told two customers to smoke by the porte cochere so that they would be away from us in the open air lobby. The room, restaurant, pool, lobby and gym were very clean. Breakfast had a good spread of local and western varieties. The sink stopper was stuck and the kettle leaked when we checked-in, but these got resolved efficiently. Though, Anathera provides two shuttle trips a day to the mall, it would be perfect if the hotel is within walking distance to the mall. Heavy chaotic traffic on narrow lanes with no pedestrian sidewalk does not make it conducive to walking in Bali."
