「So far was a good hotel for stay in Hilo. The only thing was bad experience, there was fire emergency alarm at 3:00 am to wake up every body and let’s waking down from stairs. Next day was no explaining what happened that night. 」

「Great ocean view room, but there are some bird noises on the other side」

「The old Hilo Seaside Hotel on the corner of Kalanianaole Highway and Banyan Drive, across Reed's Bay prime location central to Hilo staples like Ken's and The Ponds Restaurants. The hotel itself consists of buildings with a central tropical courtyard or the swimming pool. Small gym, bikes to borrow, a mediation and common area. The room was clean and cozy. Much effort made in reducing carbon footprint by having the ability to open windows instead of only air conditioning.」

「It’s good place」

「The building is really aged and many tiny bugs' corpses in room. 24h hot water and no AC. Breakfast included, like coffee and donuts. It would be a reasonable choice for someone who spend the whole day outside of hotel and would just take a sleep there, plus save some money. Staff there is pretty nice.」

「My main concern was the ubiquitous presence of cameras in the common areas of the house. We were warned about that peculiarity when we checked in. Nonetheless, it felt very uncomfortable to be walking around knowing you were recorded on a continuous basis. Otherwise, the property was pleasant, in very good shape and clean. Support was available, if and when needed.」

「Quiet place and super hill top view. Also beautiful yard. Houseowner do great maintenance for the house. Have a wonderful short time. 」

「We were looking for a place to stay one night in Hilo and found Arnott's. The room was small, but had everything we needed, including more outlets than most hotel rooms! We had access to a full kitchen, and the staff were great. 」

「Guy running the place has knowledge that can make your stay bounce from great to greatest. Yes he has some rules but his place for three days cost me less then one night at Prop 19 in Kona and was a lot better stay. But that side of the island is family more original Hawaiian they are Community oriented. You hear Mahalo and they mean it. The people care about you when you seem lost and they walk over and ask what is wrong. At Big Island you can gain an experience that you will not get on the...
