While the exterior is unassuming, the rooms are squeaky clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. It is clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. The location is unbeatable for exploring the east side of the Big Island. Being right in the center of town, we were within walking distance of local restaurants and stores. It also served as an ideal home base for our trips to Volcanoes National Park and Akaka Falls. Plus, the proximity to Hilo Airport made our travel logistics incredibly easy. If you're looking for a comfortable, spotless, and central spot to stay, this is it!"

"This is a beautiful, quiet property just above Hilo town. The view of Hilo from the property is AMAZING! Great value for the room we had for 5 days. The property is very relaxing and the sounds of the coqui frogs at night add to the feeling of relaxation and induction of sleep. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Hilo."

"The start of the stay started off well with Sarge, the property manager, and all, with him cooking for us and welcoming us in. The rules were very strict in having no outter footwear inside the house. The property was nice with a stray cat, named White Knight, being around the property to be there during your stay. However, things went downhill when we found out that one of our friends was hit on by Sarge, which made her feel uncomfortable. We were caught off guard by this action and let the other guests who went there with us, to be cautious and watch over her. "

"I love this charming spacious home. It was conveniently located close to downtown and other amenities (farmers market, cafes, grocery stores, restaurants, etcetera) with allocated free parking. The home was well equipped with an array of potential needs we may have had as travelers (e.g., beach towels, shampoo, cooler for picnics). They also provided plenty of information about the area which we found very helpful because Hilo was our base to explore Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, the Hamakua Coast and Volcano National park. They also provided cultural literature which we appreciated because for us this was also a cultural trip. Overall, this was an excellent location (safe and quiet) to explore other areas."
