This property was wonderful. It was high above the town with great views of the town and ocean. It had a distinctive modern architectural style and an authentic comfortable feel. Our room was clean and well stocked. It was spacious and we had an outside balcony. There was also a beautiful garden and a large shared living room with a pool table. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Hawaii.

Beautiful space, incredible views and close to Rainbow Falls and the Farmers Market. Older home with limited supplies (towels and washcloths) but we really enjoyed our stay.

A peaceful property at the very top of the hill, room 3 overlooked Hilo and the ocean to the east. So waking up and seeing it was perfect. Loved it all.

The king suite is an end unit with a wonderful balcony. The studio apartment has a large area with the king bed, sitting area and large picture window with a beautiful view. Bathroom is spacious and includes a separate area with a lit vanity with a bench. At check-in, the room was clean and very well prepared. Parking is tight, but there is a system in place that makes it work. The only issues we had were that housekeeping didn’t replenish the coffee and tea supplies (even after 3 requests were made). Also, we received a morning message that the room was ready, but it was not. Not sure what happened there in terms of the communications on those two issues. Minor issues, but they knocked my overall rating from a 5 star to a 4 star. Overall, I highly recommend the king suite (other rooms may not be as spacious and do not appear to include a balcony, which is important to us). Very cool converted “old” house with a nice common area that includes comfortable seating, TV and pool table. This area would provide a nice meeting place if you are booking with multiple people/multiple rooms. Great job!!

Kitchen had no kettle or cooktop or toaster. The microwave was dirty. There was mouse poo in the shower when we arrived. The bed was very hard. There was a tiny table and wooden chairs to sit on, no cushions and the place was tiny.

the property was loud, fake birds chirping loudly all night, dog would bark a lot, can hear people in adjoining rooms. Ear pods but can't sleep with anything in my ear. only received housekeeping 2x with 6 night stay. Towels smelled. AC was not well equipped for sleeping area. One last night there someone tried to get into room at 11pm by using pin code on door. Didn't feel safe there. Big gap under all rooms.

The property and the view were extraordinary. The room is tiny, but not really designed for guests too relaxing because there is a large community living room downstairs. I did ask some questions through email, but did not get a response from the owners know that we ever see them. I take that as a negative.

Comfortable, clean and convenient. It was a nice hilltop location with a great view. The economy room was cute and cozy. The living areas were enjoyable places to spend time. The walls were thin, but guests were respectful of the quiet hours.

We stayed one of the suites. This stay is literally at the top of the hill and you get 360 views of Hilo. unobstructed views of the ocean. Clean and full of amenities. The projector screen was awesome!

Hilltop Vacation Rental was great for our needs which was a place to stay for 1 night in Hilo. The property sits on a hill which was lovely for being in a quiet area and for privacy. The house, room, and bathroom was clean and we felt safe. The house is older, so just keep this in mind when
