"The Royal Park Hotel and Kyoto is an excellent accommodation in a very good neighborhood. The rooms are very nicely decorated and modern. The bed is very comfortable and the amenities are refreshed every day. One can also decide on whether one wishes to have the bedsheets changed every 3 days or more frequently. The breakfast has many choices and plentiful. It is worth the price. The neighborhood has plenty of choices of restaurants and is very close to the Nishiki Market, which is worth a visit."

Gym very small and basic set of weights and 3 cardio machines. Convenience store across the road. Excellent choices for breakfast."

"This is a great boutique hotel close to a main shopping and restaurant area in Kyoto. Also just steps to the subway line. If you get a room on the Main Street it can be a bit noisy at night. "

"Staff were very friendly and the room was cosy and had plenty of amenities. Hotel is in a good location, close to the main shopping districts and the park. Our only complaint would be that the TV was only Japanese live channels, not a smart TV, so the ability to log into Netflix or likewise would have been nice, otherwise there's nothing in English for tourists. Regardless, we would stay again."

"Great location. We were “upgraded” to a small room on the premium floor that was smaller and less well appointed than our friends in a regular room on a non-premium floor. Our room had a vinyl floor that had stains on it, no storage space for clothing, hardly any space to walk around the bed and nowhere to store 24” suitcases without having to step around them. Ask for one of the larger rooms!"
