"I wasn’t going to review this hotel but I’ve been asked three times so here it is. We stayed three nights the last week of May and everything was fine. There was a heat wave of 92 degrees and our room remained comfortable. We left for a night and then came back for one last night before flying home. When we checked in, we were given a room that already had someone in it. We opened the door with the keycard and there was a guest already in the room. We went back to the front desk and they offered to give us a discount on our room, which we have never received. They gave us another room and the air conditioning did not work. This is not me being unused to British hotels because we already stayed in the same hotel during hotter temperatures and the room was much more comfortable. In this room, the air was not blowing out of the unit and the room was not getting cool. I reported this to the front desk and they said they would have maintenance fix the temperature from outside the room. They turned the thermostat down all the way but the room really didn’t get very cool. The hotel overall is pretty nice but I was unsatisfied with this stay."
