「Blue Gem motel was the perfect stay for us for our weekend event at Camp Kulaqua which was only a few minutes down the road. I was a lil hesitant since it was a “motel”. However the room was nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was a super comfy king bed. I travel a lot and was impressed with how comfortable I slept. The AC was nice and cold. 「Hi- Our room was clean, front desk service was great, helpful and accommodating. Property is in a location that’s makes walking to King or St. George St. literally less than 3 mins. We enjoyed the nice view from the upper room. We would def come back.」

「Not the best place I’ve ever stayed but not the worst. Could definitely use some deep cleaning and a remodel. Our room had an odd and very distinct smell, and there was an envelope in the room welcoming someone by a different name than us. Overall, it was a decent place to stay for cheap for a night, but definitely not the kind of place to stay for a full on vacation.」

「I would highly recommend this place and the area just a few miles from downtown St. Augustine . Easy to get a Uber. Quiet area. Walking distance to beach and a couple local. Will definitely stay here again when coming to this area.」

「Im not one to complain , my first rooms toilet seat was ready to fall off , i was given another room and toilet seat was also ready to fall off, but by the time i went back to front desk to tell staff member about second room first room was all fixed up and we stayed in first room . The freezer had a soda spill in about 6 inches of ice but my grandkids and I had a good stay all of the staff members were amazing we enjoyed the pool very much .」
