"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sakurai. We booked the top floor suites, which came with several extra benefits. The room was very large and well laid out, with a kitchen, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and stunning view, two bedrooms, and a living area. We were taken straight to our room by a concierge when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The view was excellent — you could see the town centre from the room. We also had access to the Sakura Lounge, where food and drinks were included, and a more private onsen that was limited to a small number of guests. The hotel prepared a special dinner for special guests in a separate restaurant, using best quality ingredients. The food and service were both excellent. One thing to note is that the hotel is very large, so there are no private hot spring baths. This wasn’t an issue for us, but worth mentioning. The main onsen facilities are very good, especially the outdoor baths, which we would highly recommend. Thank you again for the staff at Sakurai."

"This deserves much more than an 8.4 rating. We had one of the best ski stays ever at the Arai and we’ve stayed at Chamonix, Aspen, Jackson Hole, and Big Sky. "Only 5-7mins walk to Nagano St. Many options of dining restaurants around hotel and station. They provided all amenities which we needed very complete, there were (if i m not mistaken) 4 or 5 coins-laundry machine with its dryer near lobby/receiptionist area on the Ground/1st floor. We really had wonderful 4 night-stays here! "
