  • This place is right behind the James L Knight Center, right between the Brickell Avenue and the S.E. 2nd Avenue bridge. I was on the North side of the Miami River pointing my camera South East. I found plenty of parking for a reasonable price. Best time if you want lots of action would be Friday or Saturday night. For a more desolate nights I would recommend Monday thru Thursday night. Here you will find an incredible amount of photography opportunities to shoot for. While like any big city you will find a few homeless folks, the place was very clean and very well kept. Lots of new, very tall buildings have made the Miami landscape a very popular site for photography!

This place is unkept.. the room smelt like mold stains on the chair bathroom dirty rust on the appliances. After checking in I checked out immediately. Wouldn’t recommend.

I was shocked when I arrived at the hotel—aka a “low-tel.” I did not anticipate it looking so bad or the rooms being in such poor condition, especially based on how it appeared online. As soon as I arrived, I was taken aback by the interior and the lobby area. The carpet felt damp, and the lobby offered no comfortable seating for guests to sit and relax. The room itself was extremely tight. There was a strong stench that made me afraid I might get sick—it smelled like an old, rotten wood attic. To make matters worse, I left a lamp on and noticed caterpillar-like insects with wings crawling along the rim of the lamp. I killed one, but the next morning they had multiplied by at least 50. The worst part was when the bugs started crawling inside my carry-on luggage. I completely freaked out. The more I killed them, the more they seemed to multiply. I went to the lobby to show the front desk staff a video of the insects, and she stated that they were “termites.” The hallway was dark and gloomy, like an abandoned place. I’m not sure if I was just given the worst room, but the experience was terrible. The bathroom didn’t even have a vent. Overall, I definitely learned my lesson about cheap “low-tel” hotels. The only positive was that parking was available.

The pool was open but not Filtering, not hot water for shower . Coackroach in the room. Very poor finition. It’s just to stay and go before a flight or cruise. Don’t expect anything else

Room was aweful, rusty, dirty floors, peeling paint, spiders on wall. Staff just sat around. Man was sitting near door, didnt get up to help, no assistance offered to get to room NOT welcoming! Front desk didn't know any local restaurants only subway next door. It was dark when i got there so didnt see much. Paper thin walls, could hear men talking and laughing in next room. I took pics. Don't stay here! :(
Seat belts broken in van. Very long wait for shuttle, an hour, and the hotel is5 mins away. It was 615pm when I called, so not out of normal hours.

Upon arrival, we discovered that this is a two-story hotel. With no elevator and there are weird landings crooks, crevices, and stairs. The hallways and the carpet were dingy and disgusting and littered with trash. The room was gross dirty. I killed at least two cockroaches. All of the posts that said that the staff were pleasant and friendly. I’m not sure who they spoke to because the people that I talked to barely had the time of day to acknowledge us. There is one ice machine in vending for the whole hotel in a weird closet area no continental breakfast which I know wasn’t on the thing, but there was also no offer of coffee. Would give this a -0 if I could.

The only value to this place is the shuttle bus service to and from the airport, also the ship terminal ride. The rooms were old and noisy. No coffee in room or lobby.
