  • This place is right behind the James L Knight Center, right between the Brickell Avenue and the S.E. 2nd Avenue bridge. I was on the North side of the Miami River pointing my camera South East. I found plenty of parking for a reasonable price. Best time if you want lots of action would be Friday or Saturday night. For a more desolate nights I would recommend Monday thru Thursday night. Here you will find an incredible amount of photography opportunities to shoot for. While like any big city you will find a few homeless folks, the place was very clean and very well kept. Lots of new, very tall buildings have made the Miami landscape a very popular site for photography!

Very accommodating we flew in on the weekend that the weather was insane and the hotel was very accommodating to all of the guests that were flying in very early they made a list of people who were checking in as soon as rooms became available they made sure everybody was checked in smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel. The price is great the beds are comfortable and myself and my husband are very disabled when it comes to our Max and everything else in our body. We slept like babies and we're ready for our cruise the next day. Wonderful staff!

Room was clean but hotel is older and is showing wear. The check-in process was very hectic because of the weather situation but overall I think the Clarion staff really did a great job. If all I needed was a hotel to stay in for one night I would certainly choose Clarion again at this location

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay and that’s about it. The upkeep of the rooms is subpar. Our room smelled like mold, which was disappointing. The only good things I can say about this place are that our room came with a microwave and mini fridge, and the shuttle from the hotel to the port was very convenient, about a 15-minute drive. I’d recommend this place mainly for someone staying just one night. Our cruise left midday, so it made sense for us to fly in the night before and use their shuttle to get to the port. That part worked out really well and helped a lot. For that specific situation, I highly recommend it. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere. This is one of those places I’m glad I didn’t stay at for more than a day or two.

This is the review I gave the Clarion "If I could give this place a negative i would. We arrived in a party of 8 people. First, the staff was very nice and helpful. But that is where any good ends. Arriving was such a horrifying experience. The lobby and hallways were dirty and smelled moldy. The lobby was crowded with workers getting off their shift and waiting for their shuttle. When we checked in we were told we could not get a shuttle to the cruise port until an hour after we were supposed to be there. Finally the driver who drove us from the airport offered to get our party by ourselves to the port. (See, nice people working there) When we got to our room it was again another horror story. The carpets were rhreadbare and dirty looking. The curtain hems were falling out and the windows were filthy. I next want into the bathroom and thought I had arrived in hell. Some alien red mold all around the base of the tub and the toilet. And it smelled worse than the hallways. I refreshed myself in the sink and flushed the toilet . . .OMG! It started to overflow. I called the front desk and asked for help. Maintenance came right away, another credit to the workers. But he could not fix it. We asked for a new room but apparently the hotel was fully booked. The "restaurant" in the lobby was at best a cafeteria, but a very expensive one. $15.00 for scramble powered eggs and toast. Another $10.00 for waffles or bacon. This hotel needs at the very least a total overhaul, but better

My room costed $305 for one night and there were roaches in my bed. I searched the whole room and killed all the bugs. The front desk gave me a number for the manager to contact to hopefully get refunded. I have pictures of the bugs. Hopefully this hotel makes this right with a refund !!!

There was a $100 security deposit. The room is (we are assuming) full of mold because my friend got very sick while staying in there. There was BLOOD on our freaking sheets!! We brought our own blankets but the last day I accidentally pulled the blanket that was tucked in the bed up and there was BLOOD!!! We took a picture. Hotel looked nothing like the photos and we felt disgusted the whole time.

AC was cool. During the day it was HOT. I had issues with early check-in. I was overlooked and waited over an hour and a half after being told i would get a call in 20 minutes. I requested a manager and he didn't care to hear my complaint. He sided with the employees even though i felt if i was told i would get a call in 20 minutes i should have got that. The AM customer service was very poor. I will never stay at this hotel again.
