「Historic charm, great value — we'd stay again For Sure! Stayed Saturday night for $82. Such a quaint, old-world stay. The Decker House (built 1876-78, Italianate, on the National Register, 17 rooms with the grand staircase from local woods) is gorgeous — original woodwork, metal cornices, right at the top of Main Street and 5 minutes to Maquoketa Caves. Room was spotless and comfortable, staff was friendly, location and value are excellent. Only reason I'm marking amenities 3/5 is breakfast...

「It was a very nice experience. Would definitely go back.」

「We were greeted with friendly and very helpful staff from the minute we walked in the doors. He even helped us with our luggage, and phoned us after we left to be sure we had a pleasant stay at his hotel - Budget Inn in DeWitt Iowa. We would recommend staying at this place, and we will stay here again in the future.」

「This is our third year staying in the fall at Irish cottages. The hotel is clean and accommodating. Staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. My only complaint is the breakfast. Please if you can’t offer a well staffed, well stocked buffet maybe stop offering it until you can. This has been our experience all three years. The one employee running around trying to clean tables, make coffee, refill juices and keep the buffet stocked just doesn’t cut it. All three stays the buffet...

「Perfect, safe place for a senior women’s getaway. All on one floor. Plenty of beds and 2 large bathrooms as well as a seating area to catch up with each other. The man at the desk was very helpful and friendly.」

「Charming getaway from a hallmark movie」

「What a pleasant surprise: A safe, well maintained hotel with an immaculate room and bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, clean microwave and 3.5 cu ft refrigerator, a nice included breakfast, responsive and professional staff and everything worked. And it was affordable. Lovely. If we return to Galena, we will stay there. Absolutely zero complaints.」
