A wonderful small boutique English hotel in heart of London. Close and short walking distance to theatre district, Chinatown, Covent garden and virtually next to British museum. Walking distance to many other attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Room although small from US standards, was well appointed with English decor. Nice size bath/shower. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend. We will come back again w/o reservations.

This is a lovely old property in a great location. We had a 'larger' room that slept 3 but it may be large by British standards but it was very small. The bathroom was at the entrance to the room at the top of stairs so everyone woke up of someone needed the bathroom in the evening Good air conditioning was helpful in the humidity A lot of inflexible attitude by staff about where to sit in an empty dining room as they would have to 'reset' the table - which they had to do with the table we were forced to use Food mediocre

Great experience from check in to check out. Staff was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The location is perfect with lots of places of interest nearby. Perfect location for a short visit to London with easy walking to museums, nightlife and great eating places. Our room was spacious (for London) and very well appointed- particularly liked the Floris toiletries. It was spotlessly clean and very quiet facing the gardens. The staff in the bar and at breakfast were helpful in making sure my snacks/meal were gluten free. Good breakfast food choices too. Really enjoyable stay.
