Our apartment instructions from Hotels.com advised us to ring the owner a couple of days before our arrival. To cut a long story short, Hotels.com provided us with two telephone numbers, one was constantly engaged and another ending in '53' just kept ringing and ringing. Even Hotels.com had problems getting in contact with the owner.
After looking at a previous customer review, we found that the owner was contactable via the reception at CROMWELL INTERNATIONAL HOTEL down the next street where we went to sort out our stay and were given the key. It had been very stressful trying to get in contact with someone about our stay - this should not have happened to us.
We arrived at our apartment which was well situated in relation to museums, Chelsea and other sights.
The apartment had two bedrooms with clean bedding. However, the apartment is very ‘tired’ and needs decorating and updating. The back bedroom has a boiler in it in the corner and it can be difficult getting to sleep at night with it’s constant ‘clicking’ and firing up every few minutes.
There is no extractor fan in the shower room so there is mould along the top of the ceiling. Also, there is a large broken tile on the bottom step of the shower area which needs attention.
Despite the few negative points, we made the most of out stay at the apartment. It’s a shame the owners haven’t renovated the apartment as it could be really lovely.
