「Absolutely no elevator, so hauled suitcases up the stairs.」

「Staff was helpful and friendly! Hotel maintenance needs improvement. There were bugs in the kitchen area and bathroom floor. Worst offense was the shower was not functional …...the knob to pull up for the shower function was not attached to the plumbing so only the tub was available! I don’t do tubs and was very difficult to lower myself to wash my hair. This is unacceptable. So, Candlewood Suites, fix the shower in Room 302!」

「Our family was taking a cruise out of Galveston and this property is literally two blocks away from the cruise terminal so it was great to spend the previous night in old town Galveston very nice and then the next morning we just walked to our terminal for the cruise line, everyone was very helpful. Very nice. The rooms were great. The breakfast was incredible. Highly recommend recommended.」

「During my check-in yesterday, I noticed that the bedding (bed sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcases) did not appear to have been freshly changed. After contacting the bedding, my skin became itchy, which raised concerns about cleanliness. I reported this to the front desk, but initially, the concern was dismissed based on photos, and I was told that no replacement could be arranged because only one staff member was on duty. 「The hotel is very quiet and easy to find. It's a bit far from the bustling streets, but the breakfast provided is excellent, and there's a convenient gym available. However, after I left my room early in the morning, the staff might have thought I had checked out. They cleaned the room and accidentally threw away my water bottle and hat. When I returned, I couldn't find them, which was a little upsetting.」
