「Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help.」

「Beautiful house,very clean and I saw them cleaning the room after we left and it was very thorough. Food superb and substantial with canapes and sorbet mouth cleansers we could not finish a substantial main course and no room for desert. Service friendly. 」

「A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights. It would’ve been good to have the mugs and water jug refreshed, however I’m sure if we’d asked this would’ve...

「Great Hotel, really friendly staff, meal choices good. Parking is a bit restricted and tight albeit there is a public car park next door, whicjh I didn't need to use.Chris when serving us was outstanding. Will use again, highly recommended」

「Got a last minute deal and was then upgraded. Very comfy bed, quiet room wifi worked well , refurbished shower hot and strong. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . Minimal staff tried hard and very friendly. 」

All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had! Perfect setting for a relaxing and reset away.」
