「Dinner menu is good and servings great. We were surprised at breakfast when they allocated each room to a table. It helps when starting the day You have to choose the breakfast menu and time the night before but that's better for both the property and the guests as both will know what to expect 」

「The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.」

Breakfast was amazing, apart from the usual full english (which loses its novelty after 5 days!) chose eggs benedict which was perfectly cooked and made a lovely change. 「Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall.」

「Very average. Overall a nice pub area. Checkin was rushed. No parking nearby and confusing as to which car parks allowed overnight parking. Carpets were filthy and didn't look like they had been hoovered in a week. Breakfast was fine. 」

「We had a comfortable stay, food ok but nothing special, found the hour slot for breakfast 8.30-9.30am odd, most hotels have better times, especially when you are on holiday you don't want to be looking at your watch all the time, breakfast was buffet cereal, toast, yoghurt and juices, with a cooked breakfast to order, unfortunately a couple of mornings had to ask for bread, bowls, juice as not kept stocked up, only one member of staff serving breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful, bar was busy...

「The rooms were luxuriously furnished and the hotel overall is very cosy and welcoming. Staff couldn;t do enough to help and the attention to detail was fantastic, everything from bags for walking boots to fresh milk on the landing for in room tea and coffee. A bottle of speciality beer in the room was a bonus.」
