「On arrival checking in was made easy by the friendly staff, I was giving all the information needed about my stay and made feel very welcome. The grounds are beautiful and I very much enjoyed taking my outside. The staff were exceptional and made my stay so enjoyable and I will certainly be back.」

「This is a hotel in a small community on the costal estuary. Not a 5 star Marriott, but you wouldn’t want one in this quaint town.」

「The hotel is in a lovely place facing the sea with areas to walk. A few minutes walk from the railway museum and train rides to a beautiful area. The only thing I was unhappy with was that not all the staff worked as a team at meal times. The rooms, facilities and amenities were all lovely. Staff were approachable.」

The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean with a lovely view to boot! Very appreciative of the luxury of it all after walking Derwentwater! We enjoyed thoroughly our dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was a real treat! Highly recommend - a wonderful place to unwind and relax!」
