Overall we had a nice stay at Wanokura. The guest house is an older Japanese style house. Self check-in went smoothl the kitchen we used the refrigerator and the hot water dispenser, we did not use the kitchen to cook. The clothes washer was n
Wanokura was spacious with room to move. This is the first time that we have shared a house with others. We did not have any problems with waiting for the bathroom or anything else and it wasn't too noisy. It is about a 20 minute walk from the station. You can take a bus or a taxi from the station but we didn't. There are some places to eat & a food market from the station to Wanokura. I would recommend this place. My husband, 64, and I are 62 enjoyed it even though it is more suitable for the younger ones. We would stay there again if we were to return to Kyoto in the future.
