Great stay

A nice and comfort budget hotel. The hotel location was closed to bus and subway stations. The receptionists were nice and helpful. There is luggage drop off service available in this hotel. You can enjoy your last day in Kyoto without luggage. We enjoyed our stay in Fugastay Shijo Omiya.

It was relatively cheap find with accessible location. However, i had some non pleasant stay there. 1. The room smelled bad and i had to buy air freshener spray, 2. We stayed in 4th floor and corridor fan was very loud, ended up couldn’t sleep for the first night.

Clean, functional and walkable from many areas

February visit Our hotel room was surprisingly spacious, clean and functional. It had 2 twin beds, but my wife and I ended up just utilizing one. Has a mini fridge, tv (for those who care), and disposable slippers. I gave it 5 stars because it was exactly what we were looking for at an affordable price. Staff were great and check in process was fast. One thing to note: - Room was very warm! (This wasn't really a problem because we turned on the air conditioner to compensate. Just felt bad about it 😬🙏)

Almost brand new hotel. Room was sufficiently clean when I checked in. Room cleaning every 4 days but they were flexible enough to do a cleaning on the 3rd day since I was checking out on the 5th. If I’ve to pick a fault, it is that the coffee machine really only serves coffee and doesn’t give hot water.

The staff are so lovely and helpful, and the rooms are cosy and comfortable It is a little too far on foot to main areas, so have to rely on transport, which can be a little annoying but location is still relatively close The only feedback is no laundry services available through the hotel, but there is a little laundromat down the road. It does cost a fair bit and takes an hour away of your time, so it is inconvenient and I hope they will consider adding this as a service in future Otherwise a lovely stay :)
