「This property is a ways from the main roads, but it is a very quaint and relaxing place. If you want to learn about history and enjoy nature this is the place to come. It’s not a Hilton, so don’t expect that kind of amenities. The host/receptionist, Dan, is super helpful and knowledgeable. 」

「Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi.」

「We had a wonderful time in Cottage 39. We were in town for a wedding and wanted a little bit of space for our family of 4. This was the perfect spot. We didn't get to spend a lot of time on property because of wedding activities, but we did take advantage of the free mini golf as well as the outdoor and indoor pools at the lodge. The kitchen was great for making breakfasts to start our busy days. We would definitely stay here again.」
