After visiting Chewning Park, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Spotsylvania. Wander the lakeside and forest while you're in the area.
We stayed here after attending a wedding on the grounds. The Post Office is the sweetest little cabin. We had a wonderful fire in the fire place, the bed was to die for, and in general, it was one of the most peaceful and cozy little places we have stayed. Stevenson Ridge didn't miss any of the little details, right down to delivering breakfast in a basket the next morning. We'll definitely come back!

Super helpful and friendly staff. Cabin was nicer than expected, and thoughtfully stocked. Wanted to fill out their survey but realized I didn’t have a pen. So maybe it would be nice if a pen was included with the cabin extras.

I was coming back from a bad experience in Myrtle Beach and I really needed this hotel to be decent, and it really delivered. I have stayed in many places in this area with little success. The best Western plus was very welcoming, super clean, and it was quiet and low key, being off the highway just enough to not hear all the traffic noise but super close enough not to be going out of the way. The woman that checked us in was great. I slept great over night here. The room was super super clean,...

Casey is a remarkable host, delivering with her family, a very high quality experience! No amenity was overlooked. The property is in excellent condition; the grounds and setting, interesting and historical; the breakfast scrumptious and memorable; and the nearby downtown city of Orange afforded very good restaurant access. Simply, the best B & B experience we have had the pleasure to enjoy, thanks to Casey's and fam's effort!

Stayed there several times before. It’s my go-to in Fredericksburg area. It currently has extensive renovations underway which detracted from its appearance a bit but that cannot be helped.

One night stay. Great location close to many restaurants. Clean and comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Only suggestion would be to replace chairs on breakfast/lobby. Fabric has stains galore.

The suites( they are more than rooms) are marvelous. Quiet, great views and one of the most comfortable beds ever. The bathroom was also very nice, and the floor is heated. Couple that with butlered coffee and beignets each morning, and you’vr Got s high standard to beat
