"I booked a standard room without reading many reviews, assuming it would be a nice hotel. Unfortunately, the room we were given had a single window that faced a storage area. There was no view at all, and we never saw sunlight or proper daylight during our stay. I really disliked the room right when I entered it and requested an upgrade for the eight nights we were scheduled to stay, but I was told there were no rooms available. Paying over $2,000, I expected much more from this hotel. That said, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. In the future, I will make sure to call the hotel directly before booking to confirm exactly what type of room I’m getting."

"What makes it stand out is the staff and how they try to have everyone be engaged, they have multiple events a day and is very sociable! The location is also great as it’s a 3 minute walk to Ipanema beach! "
