「I booked an apartment with Unhotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. While the photos online looked much better than reality, the actual stay fell far below expectations. The biggest issue happened immediately upon arrival. I prepaid for an airport pickup arranged through the property, but no driver showed up at the airport at 4 AM. After contacting them, I was told the driver would arrive much later, so after an overnight international flight we had to pay for our own...

「Location was magnificent, but we kept on having issues with the hot water. And even though the host did send someone to check it out and got fixed only 3 out of us 5 were able to shower with hot water. By the time the last 2 went in to take a bath the water was cold again. We were leaving the next day so we didnt wanna bother the host and we just did what we could. Sucks we werent able to shower before leaving to the airport the day of check out. And even though it says it could sleep 6 its only...

「Got to stay here to enjoy the Ipanema side of Rio de Janeiro. Check in wasn’t very intuitive and there was not a 24 hour staff available for security. I found myself stuck on the inside of the apartment for some time trying to figure out how to leave the building. There were so many mosquitos within the stay that make nights sleepless - there’s a window in the kitchen that is continuously open that make nights restless. The door to the bedroom does not stay closed so I would have to lock myself...

「The room was fine. The hotel advertises services, but nothing works. The workout room was minimal and it was locked. The pool was closed for service. The sauna did not work for over a week. They use facial recognition (instead of keys) to enter the hotel and other spaces. That didn't work the first day either. Save your money. Stay in a cheaper place with just a bed and a bath-- that's all you'll get here.」

「I really loved the place, however I would suggest the host to supply cleaning products to stays that are longer than 4 days. Detergent, flooring product and perhaps an extra set of sheets and towels. 」

「It would be beneficial (to the guests) to hire receptionists who have a good command in English.」
