I had a great overall stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The only downside was that the breakfast options were almost the same every day, which can get repetitive if you’re staying for a longer period like I did. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which really made a difference. The location is also a big plus, with a short and easy distance to the beach. The only real disappointment was that the gym and sauna were not working during my stay. Overall, a pleasant experience with just a few minor areas for improvement.

As it was our first time in Rio, selecting Orla Hotel in Copacabana was a very deliberate choice, primarily due to its reputation for being situated in a safer area, something that was particularly important to us. From the moment we arrived, we felt reassured by the visible police presence in and around the hotel. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the exceptional staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care reflect a level of hospitality that is both rare and memorable. The hotel itself is impeccably maintained, with an evident commitment to cleanliness throughout. While the rooms are somewhat dated in terms of décor, they are nevertheless comfortable, well-kept, and perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. Its location is another standout feature, ideal for exploring the best of Rio. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and within easy walking distance of Ipanema and Leblon, it offers both convenience and a vibrant local experience. Overall, our stay was nothing short of excellent, and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you

The room was clean and comfortable the water pressure for our shower was amazing! Beach is right across the street. We did not have an Ocean view but we didn’t go to spend time in our room so it didn’t matter. A little disappointing that when we wanted to unwind and have drinks on the roof the drinks had to come from the 1st floor so it took forever. But I would recommend staying there!

The pictures were so nice it looked clean and comfy until later on when l went to bathroom and open the shower , for my surprise l saw two roaches half way out of the drain , l got scared, l didn’t know what to do, after they run back to the drain l got a large tape that l always carry with me to seal my beauty products so l manage to make layers on top os the sink then l putted on top of the drain , theres no more hotel available so l also cover the drain on the floor and inside os the sink . This hotel is near the Fairmount so l managed to book a spa so this way l was able to take shower , on my way back from the spa l saw the hotel made and l explained about the problem she told me that when that happen all that they do is put Clorox down to the drain , l didn’t let her do that because it was very hot and it would be bad because of the fumes , l went to the front desk and notified them they told me that there’s nothing that they could do, l oam afraid of roaches but l managed to sleep with the lights on and the drains taped until the next day when l came back from breakfast early in the morning , l open the door , walked to my room and saw a big brown roach on top of my bed half way cover to my linens l screamed and she run very fast to the headboard, l went downstairs and notify the receptionist that l had to leave he told that he would appreciate my discretion not to tell anyone, so l lost my money because l booked from Expedia so I lost my money.

The location of the hotel is great, it’s right across the street from the beach! The view from the rooftop patio is also mazing!! However the room, common areas, and breakfast are not ideal ( at least not for an 4 star hotel) Our room was clean, but it needed updating, and maintenance. The carpet in the hallways was really old and had a smell to it.

Nos registramos pasada la media noche y nos tocó un cuarto en el que el aire acondicionado no servía, ni siquiera encendía, por suerte había staff de mantenimiento que subió a verlo y nos cambiaron de habitación, pero nos tocó una mas pequeña y con una máquina de aire acondicionado que hacía demasiado ruido. Es obvio que alguien no hizo su trabajo al no chequear las condiciones de las habitaciones que entregarían ese día.
